The person we're looking for
We’re seeking a Social Media Strategist with a proven ability to set content strategy, develop content, and advise our team through strong communication direction amidst a changing and growing environment. The ideal candidate will excel in project management skills, be tapped into industry trends, and be able to develop communication strategies and frameworks to not only position our team within the industry, but provide tools for our internal team to aid in our communication strategy.
Job Overview:
Content Strategy
- Develop and maintain a consistent tone and voice across all outbound communications
- Develop content, including copy and imagery (imagery supported by our design team)
- Understand what topics are trending, and what audience interests are to ensure content remains relevant and engaging
- Identify industry trends and use insights to guide and shape content strategies
- Build, curate and maintain an active content strategy and manage all Multiplayer social channels
Strategic Decision Making
- Gather regular audience feedback on our content
- Can effectively measure the impact of our external communications
- Use data to inform, test, and shape our content strategy
Project Management
- Create schedules and timelines
- Keep people on track for deadlines
- Monitor progress closely to identify and resolve potential blockers early.
Industry Trends
- Understand what topics are trending or resonating
- Identify industry trends and guide content to suit trends
- Curate reading material for the team
- Identify potential events, conferences and awards that Multiplayer should participate in
Culture and Attitude
- Have a positive and proactive attitude
- Be able to gain team and leadership buy-in
- Understand the team culture and use this as fuel for content
- Collaborate across teams and internal stakeholders wherever
Advisory
- Guide teams confidently through ambiguous and changing requirements
- Oversee scoping and resource allocation to ensure smooth execution and risk mitigation
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience.
- Strong interest in growing and developing the communications team, with the goal of eventually leading a team of other communications professionals
- Experience managing timelines
- Excellent analytical and problem solving
- Excellent communication / feedback skills
- Proactive and positive attitude
- Knowledge of Design Studios
